Pierre Marie’s collection designed for Bitossi in 2020, presents contemporary designs with a vocabulary that draws on decorative traditions. With details inspired by antiquity and the natural world, the scroll handles, ribbons and leaves decorate the forms, some of which are finished in pure gold. Details and ornaments identified by Pierre Marie in Bitossi’s historical archives give life to a renewed aesthetic, with a collection composed of four pieces. Their glossy colored engobes – earthy coatings applied to the earth before firing – are inspired by mineral tones: sienna, forest green, powder blue and chalk white.
