First presented at Pierre Marie’s own gallery in Paris, the Lémuriforme installation now finds a new setting in the showroom of Manufactures Emblem, a partner of the project since its inception. This more domestic environment offers a fresh perspective on the ensemble, enhanced for the occasion by a selection of new pieces.
At the heart of the collection stands a cabinet in amaranth wood veneer, crafted by Craman-Lagarde and adorned with enameled earthenware tiles produced by Les Émaux de Longwy — the same technique used for the eight cloisonné ceramic pieces it holds. Two mirrors, made using the same materials and methods, echo the cabinet’s design.
Beneath sheer silk organza banners embroidered with stylized vanilla pod motifs, a pair of newly created floor lamps highlights once again the evident partnership between Manufactures Emblem and Pierre Marie.
Arranged around an Art Deco dining set — table and chairs from the Taillardat catalogue, reupholstered for the occasion with the Ras El Hanout jacquard — Pierre Marie unveils one of his signature rugs, where stylized woods and foliage reveal the mischievous gaze of the lemur, the exhibition’s mascot.
The installation reflects a singular approach to the decorative arts, where each craft contributes to a refined and poetic vision.
