For the centenary of the International Exhibition of Decorative Arts of 1925 Les Nouveaux Ensembliers at Le Mobilier National, Pierre Marie imagines the bedroom of a head of state visiting a French embassy. This formal space, both intimate and representative, becomes the setting for a reflection on the symbols of power through the prism of décor. As usual, the studio develops its own language, where ornament and colour play a central role. By combining his drawing skills with those of partner craftsmen, Pierre Marie combines through his decorative lens, a collection of exceptional French craftsmanship in which each piece extends his vision of the decorative arts: an art of connection, which allows him to engage in dialogue with heritage while designing forms for the future.
